If you are looking for the best Diono harness to booster car seat to buy in 2023, you need to look at the Diono Radian 3Q range.
The Diono Radian 3Q series of harness to booster car seats was introduced to the US Market as a replacement for the older 3R range of seats.
While the Diono 3Q range of harness to booster seats are not an entirely new concept and do not represent a massive change in direction for the company, they do incorporate a number of re-designed and new safety and convenience features that are explained within my comparison reviews (see below for links).
If you have ever researched child car seats or bought one before, you will almost certainly already know a little about Diono. They are one of the most well-known and well-respected manufacturers of premium child car seats for the US and Canadian markets. Their Diono Radian car seats have been very popular with parents for many years.
Okay, so strictly speaking the Diono Radian 3Q series of car seats are not harness to booster seats in the same way that the Britax Grow With You seats are. However, the Diono Radian seats can be used as harness to booster seats much in the same way that the Britax seats can. What’s more, they can also be used in the same way as a convertible car seat. So, they are more accurately described as an all-in-on car seat.
The Diono Radian seats can be used as convertible car seats initially and they can then be converted into a harness to booster seat. They can be used from birth right up until your child no longer need to use a child car seat at all, which means that one of these seats may well be the only seat that you ever need to buy for your child.
So, which is the best Diono Harness to Booster Seat to buy in 2023?
Diono Harness to Booster Seats – The 3 Latest Models
There are 3 different models in the Diono Radian 3Q range of harness to booster car seats.
The most basic seat is called the Diono Radian 3QX. This seat comes with plenty of safety and convenience features, but it lacks some of the additional features that can be found on the other 2 seats. It is a great option for those on a tight budget or who simply don’t see the need for the extra layers of side impact protection that come with the other 2 seats in the range.
The mid-range seat is called the Diono Radian 3QXT. This seat looks almost identical to the Radian 3QX, it comes with 2 extra layers of side impact protection, which include the Side Impact Management Pods that you can see on the sides of the seat (see below).
Finally, the top-of-the-range seat is called the Diono Radian 3QXT Plus. This seat is pretty much exactly the same as the Radian 3QXT seat apart from the fact that it comes with It has the same enhanced side impact protection features, but also enjoys the benefits of the 2-in-1 Anti-rebound Panel instead of the standard Anti-rebound bar.

So, which is the Best Diono Harness to Booster Seat to buy in 2023, and why?
Quite simply, the Diono Radian 3QXT Plus is the best Diono harness to booster seat available to buy in 2023.
It comes with the most safety and convenience features of the 3 seats and so is undoubtedly the best if you can afford it.
One of the common problems with buying a top-of-the-range harness to booster seat is that the extra layers of side impact protection quite often make them a lot wider than the basic model. The Britax Grow With You ClickTight Plus, for example is a full 4 inches wider than the standard ClickTight version (23 inches vs 19 inches), which would make it impossible to fit 3 in a row within most standard sized vehicles.
The top-of-the-range Diono Radian 3QXT Plus, however, is exactly the same width as the basic Diono Radian 3QX seat. You get enhanced side impact protection and the 2-in-1 anti-rebound panel without the seat being made any wider.
All of the Diono Radian seats are just 17 inches wide. This makes them the narrowest premium harness to booster seats on the market and perfect for fitting 3 in a row.
Of course, the extra features on the Diono Radian 3QXT Plus seat come at a price, but you need to bear in mind that this may be the only car seat that you ever need to buy for your child.
