The Differences Between the City Mini Double and City Mini GT Double
The City Mini GT double stroller is about $100 more expensive than the non-GT version.
What are the other differences between the 2 strollers and who (if anyone) needs to spend the extra money and buy the GT version?
Handlebar
The GT version has an adjustable handlebar that can be raised or lowered between 76 cm and 110.5 cm / 29.9 inches and 43.5 inches off the ground. It is adjusted using buttons positioned at the side of the handle. This is particularly useful for those parents who are significantly taller or shorter than average.
The non-Gt version has a fixed handlebar at 107 cm / 42.1 inches off the ground.
Wheels
The GT version comes with 8.5 inch forever-air quick-release wheels and front suspension for multi-terrain use. The forever-air feature means that the tires are filled with foam instead of air and are puncture resistant. If you want to be able to use the stroller regularly on grass or uneven ground, the GT is a much better option.
The non-GT version comes with hard rubber tires and is more suitable for flat urban use. Having said that, my wife managed to use the stroller on grass during her buggy-fit classes.
Brake
The GT version’s brake lever is positioned on the side of the handlebar and can be easily operated from the side and front as well as from behind the stroller.
The non-GT version has a standard foot brake mechanism.
Seat Padding
I can’t tell you what the thickness of the padding is, but it just feels fuller and more substantial on the GT version. Obviously, more padding is better but this probably contributes to the GT’s heavier weight.
Seat Size
The GT version enjoys an extra 1 inch headroom and 1 inch more leg room. I don’t know whether or not this will be necessary for most people, but it is nice to have the option of extending the usable life of the stroller as your children grow.
Weight
The GT version weighs 14.7 kg / 32.3 lbs.
The non-GT version weighs 12 kg / 26.5 lbs.

Thank you so much for this comparison review! I was having a hard time catching the differences watching individual videos of each! I did have a question regarding the newest version and the 2012 version and the differences between the two or upgrades that were performed? Thanks!
